Mission College's beautiful modern Spanish-style architecture creates an engaging learning environment serving the community since 1975. Posted by Hello

Community entrepreneurs have helped L.A .Mission College reach its goals. These business partnerships are vital to any public institution, and similar links to the private sector must be encouraged. Posted by Hello

We know that L.A. Mission College is located in Sylmar on Hubbard Avenue, north of the 210 freeway. But who is Gerald Wayne Perttula? See the Arroyo Master Plan to learn more about Mission College's future. Posted by Hello

GERALD WAYNE PERTTULA is the candidate for Seat #6 as an L.A. Community College Board Trustee, and wants the Board to responsibly manage the ONE BILLION DOLLARS it has acquired from Bond measures "A" and "AA", meant to upgrade the 8-college facilities, improving the health, safety and security issues of its campus infrastructure. The Mission College Student Health Center seems adequate to meet student demands, but the undeveloped property on campus hints that more construction may be on the horizon allowing a "new" Health Center. Posted by Hello

The park-like ambience is enchanting at Mission College, and the LA Community College Board should be proud of the results. I would ask if the MASTER PLAN also includes MORE web-based, online classes for "distance learning" students, such as young mothers, the handicapped, and "9-5 workers", who need to study at irregular hours. Online instruction can help solve a college's budget problem: trained "web-based" instructors can manage 4 times more students than a "regular" instructor. Generating more money means more job security for teachers. The online classes at LAMCC are found HERE.Posted by Hello
